West London Composting

We were appointed by West London Composting (WLC) to handle its PR and marketing whilst the facility was under construction in 2004. Today the largest in-vessel composting facility of its kind in Europe, a pro-active media relations campaign has generated successful press coverage keeping the company in the media spotlight and at the forefront of the recycling industry.

Close working relationships have been established and maintained with national, trade and local press as well as TV and radio. WLC has subsequently been featured on Radio 4’s Farming Today programme; Channel 4, Passion for the Planet radio; ITV’s This Week; BBC Science in Action; London Tonight and Sky News.

In addition to helping the firm win a number of industry awards, other marketing initiatives include assisting with the launch and promotion of its learning resource centre, organising annual compost give away days, helping facilitate liaison group meetings for residents, regular newsletters, tours of the facility, company web site together with video content as well as a variety of marketing materials.
